Program Innovation Award
Congratulations! It was announced August 22 at 2:00 p.m. that Community Health Club of San Angelo was selected as the top winner of the "Program Innovation Award" presented by the Medical Fitness Association (which consists of 715 hospital fitness centers). The award is given to the top hospital fitness facility in the country that has designed the most innovative program which benefits their community at large. Community Health Club won the award for the Get Healthy program, which has helped community residents lose more than 27,000 pounds.

The City of San Angelo recognized the Get Healthy Challenge's efforts in combating the national epidemic of obesity.

Winner of Fitness Management Magazine's 2004 "Nova 7 Certificate of Excellence" in the category of "Event, Classes, and Community Outreach".
This award was presented at a reception at the IRSHA fitness trade show in Las Vegas. Recipients of the award are recognized as leaders in the fitness industry with their successful development and implementation of innovate wellness and fitness programs.
